Dachshund / Chihuahua Mix

Age: 10 Years
Size: 10 lbs
Bobby is potty trained; he keeps his kennel dry all night and goes when he is on a walk in the morning and evening; he doesn't play with toys yet because he is seriously wanting to keep walking and walking; he would make a great hiking dog and could keep up with the best of them; he has stamina and joy and loves the outdoors. He has some resource guarding so kids may not be a good idea (or you don't want to take any treats away from him) but besides that he is a good companion but needs an active person to keep up with him. He is a ball dog in the sense that he likes running towards the ball but doesn't bring it back yet. He is also a runner and would like an athletic person to take a jog with him. He knows "sit" and ready to learn more from a person who will love his athletic ability….perhaps agility dog? He is going to training class and learning how to meet other dogs new tricks; he is very smart and would appreciate a quiet atmosphere after all the barking he hears around him. He will be loyal to the extent that may even be jealous of another dog so being an only dog may work very well for him. Courtesy post for sbcas shelter
