Sad story for calm little Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix Dusty. His elderly owner died, and he was turned into the shelter. While visiting with Dusty at the shelter to do an evaluation for K-9 PALS and to take him to a vet appointment, our representative noticed that Dusty appeared to have a health issue. So Dusty was thoroughly examined, x rayed and ultrasound was done on Dusty. We discovered that he had six bladder stones that required immediate surgery. K-9 PALS provided Dusty with his life saving surgery and special medications and foods. He is now feeling very so much better and very happy, and ready to be adopted. Dusty would be a nice companion for an older, single person, or adult family, family with older kids in a quiet home, with or without other dogs, and even cats.
He is alert, walks well on a leash, likes people, loves to sit in the sun
and watch the view; loves the grass and is a mellow fellow.
