Aramis is the most shy of the Musketeer brothers. He'll need a calm home where he'll learn to trust his people to be kind.
He's sensitive and if he becomes fearful, he can be reactive to surprises. Interestingly, he appears to be pretty submissive when he is the only dog, but in a pack (his 2 brothers and another Chi in the same kennel) he can become somewhat aggressive or dominant in the pack.
Aramis needs a patient, adult only home. At this time he doesn't like strong hugs, but does not show any aggression - he just isn't used to being held firmly.
Challenges? Sure. Any new relationship brings challenges. However, your biggest challenge might be seeing Aramis here at the County shelter and not taking him home after meeting him with a K-9 PALS volunteer to introduce you. Come take the challenge - you only lose if you don't, and Aramis wants everyone to win.
