So what all is Travis? Right, there is the Beagle and Chihuahua thing going on, but what else?
Well, those of us at the shelter who are getting to know Travis a bit, can tell you some stuff about him, but we think the longer you are with him, the more good stuff you are going to find out.
We can start with him being a little shy at first. Is that because he is new here, and still finding his way a bit? Probably, because when you sit down and give him a minute, he becomes pretty darn comfy with you. He really likes to stand with a foot on your knee and have you scratch on his neck and behind his ears. He leeeeeans into your hand, closes his eyes and looks absolutely blissful.
He takes treats quite gently, and happily plays fetch with a toy.
He gets along well with his kennel mate (he just met him a couple of days ago)so we'd expect Travis to do OK with other similar sized dogs.
He passed his cat test with flying colors, and the only reason we say kids should be at least a 6th grade level is because he is a bit shy at first.
If you open your home, and open your heart to Travis, you'll be rewarded with a loyal companion who is ready to learn what you both need to learn - it's good to trust, good to play, good to be home, all good.
